Privacy
Philatelic.ai is a beta tool. This policy explains what we collect when you use the PreGrader, why we collect it, and how to contact us.
Effective date: June 29, 2026
What we collect
- PreGrader submissions: stamp scans or photos you upload, the fields you enter such as condition, visible faults, country, and catalog number, and the model output returned by the service.
- Basic product analytics: page and tab views, upload and submission events, result/error events, approximate session duration, viewport size, browser user agent, timestamps, and an anonymous session id.
- Contact information: your email address and message content if you email us.
- Email updates (optional): if you sign up on the Updates page, the email address you submit and the date you subscribed, so we can send you occasional product updates.
- Technical information: information normally received by servers, such as request timing and network metadata needed to operate and protect the service.
We do not require an account to use the beta. We do not intentionally collect payment information, government identifiers, or sensitive personal information through the PreGrader.
How we use it
- To produce and display PreGrader estimates.
- To review confusing, wrong, or failed results and improve the model and interface.
- To understand aggregate usage, such as active sessions, submissions, drop-off points, and which pages users read.
- To prevent abuse, diagnose reliability issues, and keep the service secure.
- To respond when you contact us.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your scans, submissions, or contact information.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not try to identify you personally unless you choose to contact us or later create an account.
Email updates
Signing up on the Updates page is optional and requires your consent. We use the email address you provide only to send occasional updates about Philatelic.ai: new features, accuracy improvements, and beta milestones. We do not sell or rent it, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing [email protected], and we will remove your address from the list. Subscriber emails are stored with our hosting provider (Cloudflare) solely to operate the list.
Analytics and cookies
The beta uses first-party product analytics. The current implementation uses a temporary anonymous session id stored in your browser's session storage, not a cross-site advertising cookie. If we add non-essential cookies, third-party analytics, or similar device storage, we will update this policy and add any required consent controls.
Retention
During the beta, we store the stamp images you upload along with the fields you enter and the model output, and we retain them together with basic analytics while the product is being evaluated and improved, including to review results and train and improve the model. We will periodically review retained data and remove data that is no longer useful. You can request deletion of information associated with a submission or email address by contacting us.
Sharing
We may share data with service providers that host, run, secure, or monitor Philatelic.ai, but only for those operational purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law or needed to protect the service from abuse.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect submitted data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so do not upload material you consider confidential or sensitive.
Your choices
You can choose not to upload a scan or not to provide optional fields. To request access, correction, or deletion, email [email protected]. Include enough detail for us to locate the relevant submission or message.
Children
Philatelic.ai is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the beta changes. The effective date above will change when we make a material update.
